Select a three-day deadline from the last successful mesh estimate during emergency mode and seven days otherwise. Apply the effective deadline to collection, due checks and status in Repeater, Room and Sensor firmware without changing sleep windows, startup/retry timing or clock authority.

Keep asynchronous internet-first estimates eligible after an early emergency check begins. Validate mode transitions and scheduler behavior with sanitized host tests and ESP32/nRF52 firmware builds.
