Both Dockerfiles pin golang and alpine by digest alongside the readable tag.
GOTOOLCHAIN=local so a go.mod bump fails loudly instead of silently downloading a different toolchain.
apk upgrade in the runtime stage — a digest pin plus the 2-week quarantine would otherwise ship base-package CVEs Alpine has already fixed. This relies on a cold layer cache, which holds today because the release workflow configures no buildx cache; there's a comment saying so.
Workflows resolve the Go version from the Dockerfile via .github/scripts/go-version.sh, so tests, releases and images share one toolchain.

All four code generators now come from the module graph, and tools/tools.go (the pre-Go-1.24 blank-import idiom) is replaced by go.mod tool directives:

The wire distinction is load-bearing. Building wire inside our module raises it from the x/tools v0.24.1 it pins to our v0.48.0, and that module version difference changes what it generates: it falls back to v/v2/v3 instead of deriving real identifiers from the type. wire_gen.go is regenerated here to match the in-module build — a cosmetic rename of 9 lines, with no other change to the generated code.
golangci-lint deliberately keeps its action rather than becoming a tool: it pins its own x/tools (v0.44.0 vs our v0.48.0) for the analyzers it bundles, adding it to go.mod would double our go.mod/go.sum (158→338 / 441→889 lines), and the action supplies caching, only-new-issues and PR annotations that invoking a binary can't. Its version stays manual by request.

This is not all of it as it is not possible (or at least I do not know
of a way) to get all suggestions for a repo/project. Did this via loop
searching mainly and taking the modernize suggestions.

Previously, it had some odd checks to decide when to calculate rate
and it would have been calculating over different windows.
- Report signal/data channel bytes every 5 seconds to stats collection
module. Previously, it was doing it every 30 seconds and that meant
some windows could have had a large spike

number of participants leaving could flush in a small window and that
could report a large spike in bytes/packets. Maybe need to ignore
signal bytes for load calculation?

* Use net.JoinHostPort to build "host:port" strings for `net.Listen`
net.JoinHostPort provides a unified way of building strings of the form
"Host:Port", abstracting the particular syntax requirements of some
methods in the `net` package (namely, that IPv4 addresses can be given
as-is to `net.Listen`, but IPv6 addresses must be given enclosed in
square brackets).
This change makes sense because an address such as `[::1]` is *not* a
valid IPv6 address; the square brackets are just a detail particular to
the Go `net` library. As such, this syntax shouldn't be exposed to the
user, and configuration should just accept valid IPv6 addresses and
convert them as needed for usage within the code.

The local address passed to a command such as
livekit-server --dev --bind 127.0.0.1
was being used as binding address for the TCP WebSocket port, but was
being ignored for RTC connections.
With `--dev`, the conf.RTC.UDPPort config is set to 7882, which enables
"UDP muxing" mechanism. Without interface or address filtering, Pion
would try to bind to port 7882 on *all* interfaces.
This was failing on a system with IPv6 enabled, when trying to bind to
an IPv6 address of the `docker0` interface. It seems to make sense that
the user-passed bind addresses are also honored for the RTC port
bindings.
