### This is for BETA features:
* Please set your expectation and be cautious.
* Always test to your test / dev devices first.
* Instruction to [Flash custom firmware](https://github.com/IoTThinks/EasySkyMesh/blob/main/firmware/Instruction-to-flash-firmware.md)
### Testing features:
#### 1. PowerSaving for ESP32-based BLE companions - 3-4 days on 3000mAh battery
* Based on PowerSaving 14 (MeshCore v1.14 + PowerSaving)
* Reduced power consumption for ESP32-based BLE companion from 12x mA down to 32-35 mA for Heltec v3 and 39mA Heltec v4.2.
* Other ESP32-based boards should be similar but untested. Please help to test.
* BLE connection will be maintained all the times.
* You should feel no difference and no delay compared to the stock MeshCore v1.14.
Notes:
* Heltec v4: Need to monitor stability on battery and iPhone. May stuck at 50mA on my power supply. Seem fine on USB power and battery.
* Heltec v3: Stable on battery / usb cable with Android phone.

## Final Testing: Power Saving 14.1.1 BLE
The firmware enables ESP32-based boards to use MeshCore BLE Companions at lower power 14-30mA instead of 80-120mA.
* One 3000mAh battery can last an ESP32-based BLE companions (Heltec v3, Xiao S3...) for 6-7 days.
* The Power Saving is set by default. No action is required.
* IoTThinks actively pushes improvements to MeshCore mainline: [MeshCore PRs by IoTThinks](https://github.com/meshcore-dev/MeshCore/issues?q=is%3Apr%20(is%3Amerged%20OR%20is%3Aopen)%20author%3A%40IoTThinks)

## This is PowerSaving 15.1 BETA:
- Based on MeshCore 1.15 and PowerSaving 15.0.x
### Change logs:
- For NRF52, added feature to keep time across resets. This is to keep receiving adverts even after a reset / fault or after periodical reboots. This is already implemented in ESP32 for PowerSaving variant.
- For repeaters, added CLI to automatically reboot: **set reboot.interval <hours>** and **get reboot.interval**. <hours> is 0-255. 0 is disabled.
- Merged PR2586 - Set return path for repeaters by MikeCarper https://github.com/meshcore-dev/MeshCore/pull/2586. This is to let your repeater to reply in the same path to companion.
### Demo:
- RAK4631 repeater reboots after 1 hour and still keep the time.
