PrecIR

  • ir_tx_serial: Serial port IR transmitter. Use an USB-serial cable.
  • esl_blaster: Newer USB transmitter.

Run img2dm.py without parameters for usage.

FAQ

Can my phone/tablet/handheld/IrDA-enabled device work as a transmitter ?

No. The carrier is in the MHz range and the symbol timing must be very precise.
